You will be helped to create a more healthy rythym of rest and work that is sustainable for the season of life and your individual situation. healthy rhythms for your days, your weeks, the seasons and for the year.
What you will learn
The course will introduce you to tools, tips and practices that will not only help you to rest well now, but also help you to adapt and change as your season of life and personal circumstances change. You will not just be enabled to understand your need for rest better, but you will be given very practical ways of living more restfully in your day-to-day life. Although this process can lead to real transformation, the focus is on taking small and doable steps, learning to rest as you can, not as you can't. A gentle, step-by-step path to help you renew your energy without turning your life upside down.
Beginning with noticing, building awareness and introducing ways of pausing on purpose, the course leads you towards living and working from a place of rest. The lessons include, short videos, worksheets, reflective questions and suggestions for experiencing and experimenting with rest. The whole experience is broken down into bite sized sections so you can take your time and move at your own pace, but also see the progress you are making along the way.
You don't have to wait until the end to see a difference, you will start to see changes from the first session.

Physical tiredness is the most familiar but we can be emotionally, mentally, socially, or spiritually weary too. Knowing in which of these areas we are most drained helps us to know the sort of rest we need. Resting physically probably won’t help if we emotionally depleted.
Being clear about all the work that we do and how it drains us in each of the 5 areas helps us to understand the sort of rest we may need on a daily basis. Learning what sort of activities (rest can be active!) or inactivities will rest you physically, emotionally, mentally, socially and spiritually not only enables you to work better but also enjoy life more fully.
This session covers a range of general principles that help us to rest well. These include; the difference between fake rest and intentional rest, the different layers of rest, the connection between stress, exhaustion and rest and the wisdom of starting small. As well as how to use your senses to help you to rest.
Many of us today are disconnected from the natural rhythms that used to guide our lives as humans so we need to intentionally create rhythms that are right for our stage of life and circumstances - A healthy and sustainable rhythm for our days, weeks, months, seasons and the year as a whole.
There are many things that make rest challenging for each of us, both external and internal factors. Becoming more aware and giving attention to these makes it more possible to gradually overcome them. Exploring those things that make it easier for us to rest helps to
make rest more possible more often.
